They are the authors of three other books on natural healing for animals, and have their own monthly Holistic Page in a national UK dog magazine. They are actively involved in animal rescue and rehabilitation.

It makes a lovely change to find such a book as this on Crystal Healing with animals as there are not that many out there. I would say this book is suitable for mainly the beginner or for those with some Crystal Healing or Energy Therapy experience, as this is essentially who this book is aimed for, more experienced Crystal Healers may not find this book as useful. It looks briefly at the basics of Crystal Healing and the idea of the Chakras and discusses Crystal massage, essences and placements as techniques for using Crystal Healing with animals. However toxicity and crystal composition which can be so important when using essences is not mentioned.

The breadth of ailments looked at is very good, from everyday ailments to grief and the issues that may affect rescue animals. Despite its title this book is essentially based around Crystal Healing for dogs, okay that can easily be taken over for cats but I did feel disappointed that this book did not tackle smaller animals or indeed larger animals in any depth.

The crystal guide at the back is very well thought out and very handy for reference as is the quick reference section on ailments. These sections draw on the experience of the authors, which is both reassuring and interesting, as well as looking at the properties of the crystals. At the back of the book are more in depth case studies and these are much more varied in the animals that are mentioned, from Parrots to Llamas and I found this to be one of the most helpful sections of the book.
