Here he is writing with two other authors whose names may be less familiar to you, but who both have a sound background in spiritual thought, development and writing.
This book brings together much that (if you have considered your spiritual Path) you will already be familiar with, but aims to set it in the context of the history of the universe, scientific thought and the development of modern civilization as we know it. Not a small task to tackle. But the authors rise to meet this particular challenge by writing systematically – and as alway, in their usual fluid and readable style. Anecdotes abound, but the book itself is also well supported by excellent references and glossary, so that readers can take their personal research further, at their own pace.
For me, this is a book that encourages us to pause along our Path, draw breath, and perhaps to assess and consildate what we have done, thought, and how far we have come. It is very important to do this at certain points in our spiritual development, since our road is not without twists and turns, and we often arrive at where we are going via the 'scenic route'. It is important every so often to set ourselves back into the context of the wider world, and the universe at large, and that is exactly what this book aims to do. It succeeds admirably.
