After what was to my mind a rather slow start, I soon found myself totally immersed in The Reconnection by Dr Eric Pearl and basically could not put the book down! The first part is a fascinating account of a journey into the healing power of energy jump-started when the author's chiropractic patients started showing signs of 'miraculous' healings. Dr Pearl's personal quest and subsequent transformation as well as his investigation of the healing phenomenon are told in a very easy to read style punctuated by the author's own brand of humour. This book makes some very interesting points regarding the essence of healing but Dr. Pearl also holds strong and challenging opinions on some healing modalities more established than reconnective Healing and their reliance on technique and 'ritual'. Whether you see these observations as coming from the author's ego or see them as thought provoking is up to you but The Reconnection will no doubt be of benefit to healers and non-healers alike. It has been said that people actually feel the activation of that reconnective energy within themselves either while reading the book, attending a talk given by the author or while receiving a Reconnective Healing session. As a healer trained in various techniques, I certainly felt an unfamiliar sensation in my hands and body after reading a few chapters and noticed many synchronicities that begged for attention. Was I attuned to reconnective Energy while reading the book? Although I cannot tell for sure, I believe it happened and my further exploration using the various practical exercises provided in the third andlast section seems to confirm that. Why not see for yourself - It's well worth a try and the investment!
