Om Incense

These incense sticks were produced to aid calm meditation and peaceful reflection. They are Masala incense sticks, and – for me – they do succeed in their intended purpose. I particularly enjoy these as background to thoughtful times, when I need to sort out certain knotty problems.

I found that when I first lit one of these incense sticks, I was instantly transported to another place and time, which is very dear to me. For me, they invoked the peace of the sangha, and all the comfort and guidance that my (sometimes too-busy and confused) brain associates with that situation. It is good to allow ourselves to step back from the world, if only into the memory of a 'safe place', when we need to sort things out, or to take time for ourselves, and this incense was a powerful tool which instantly helped me to do that.
