We say: What a lovely choice of essential oils to add to these sticks. The smell out of the box is rich, captivating, a bit spicy, earthy and yet fragrant. The colour which comes to mind is brown, which is coincidently the colour of the box. Sandalwood is one of the most popular traditional scents for Japanese incense and for those that have smelt good quality sandalwood incense, you will recognise the rich, spicy yet fulfilling tone. To me, the patchouli wasn't so instantly recognisable, but on concentrating it was very obvious. So I guess this meant the two flavours blended well together. I am not really sure what the title 'Oriental Mind' means, but to me this incense will be great for meditating and also great for burning during ceremony, workshops or spiritual practice.
