I have not before experienced using books in CD format and was not sure that I would enjoy the experience as much as reading the book for myself. However, the narrator - Samuel West - has a very easy to listen to speaking voice and brought the story to life for me. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed listening as the story unfolded. It was also a very relaxing experience to be able to sit back, close my eyes and allow someone else to read to me. The descriptions of locations were very vivid and transported me to these far off places whilst listening. The story of Santiago, the Andalusian shepherd boy, is an enjoyable way to be reminded of the wisdom of following our hearts and striving to fulfil our destiny.

In this modern stress filled world in which we live there is a tendency for many of us, much of the time, to ignore the omens and signs which are given to us as we journey through our lives. Hearing Santiago's story helps us to recognise that the route to happiness and fulfilment is to live the life which is our destiny. Taking note of the lessons, messages and signs which the Universe, Spiritual Realms, our Angels and Guides place into our lives. When we live our true destiny, the Universe provides us with all the help we need, it is only when we lose sight of what our heart truly desires that our life begins to contain so-called 'bad-luck', unhappiness and disillusion. I would recommend this CD as an inspirational tool for those seeking to understand themselves better and to help recognise life's opportunities.
