CD: CHRISTINE ASTELL - The Angel Garden

This is a lovely cd; Christine has a lovely voice for meditation work and the string music by Llewellyn is a perfect accompaniment. On first listening to the cd, I considered it more suited to the novice meditator who needs time to visualise scenes and relax into the meditation, as I felt that experienced meditators may become frustrated with the time the opening scene-setting takes, however, subsequent plays of the cd have made me realise it was more to do with my frame of mind and how relaxed I was at the start of the meditation which was influencing my opinion.

By way of contrast, where I was experiencing a lot going on in my daily life including any spiritual questions or concerns re. my spiritual path then I’ve found I’ve required more time in the garden or on the mountain path aspects of the meditation than the cd offered. So although I have some concerns regarding the time allotted to different parts of this 50 minute cd, I still fully recommend it. If listened to with a personal cd player or access to a pause button, this may be helpful to some people. At first, the overall length of the cd seemed rather daunting, especially in terms of making uninterrupted space in a busy household/life, but the time soon passes and I found myself very relaxed and at peace and with a sense of inner joy by the end of using the cd, so I’m sure I was touched by my angels. I hope you will find this too, especially as there is a lovely section where you can ask questions of your angels regarding any concerns in your everyday life; I feel this sets this cd apart from others I have experienced, and again,......more
