By Brian Stevenson View ProfileThis recording from Midori will not disappoint his many fans. The two tracks, Heart of the Forest and The Cloud Forest are both calm and soothing. Each track contains several different sections. Heart of the Forest begins with authentic birdsong to which a variety of wind instruments are slowly added to create a peaceful sound experience with a mystical quality.
The Cloud Forest uses flowing melodies from the start. The first section of this track has a slightly faster and more uplifting tempo with a underlying rhythmic beat. About halfway through, the pace slows a little and the sounds of birdsong can be heard again in the background. Both pieces are ideal for relaxation and for listening to while undergoing a therapy.
