CD: MEDWYN GOODALL - Music for Crystal Healing

Medwyn Goodall's musical interpretation of the crystals could probably transport just about anyone to the realms of the Crystal Kingdom, linking us to the very heart of crystalline energies. The music twinkles! From the first time I played this CD I felt it to be the exact musical translation of the beautiful energies that I felt showering down upon me when I was attuned to Ethereal Crystals. The CD itself has an illustration of crystals on it, which is pleasing to see.

The synthesised music has an ethereal quality, blended with sonic healing and constantly shimmers as the listener is taken through 6 tracks, each representative of a different crystal. The first track 'Amethyst' is spiritually enhancing and it is a good opening track. 'Calcite' is an uplifting one and the third track 'Fluorite' has an anchoring, focused resonance, to help to calm the confused mind. 'Quartz' is initially quite grounding and as the track continues, clarity becomes apparent and 'Rose Quartz' does resonate and open my heart chakra. The last track 'Green Tourmaline' focuses on the protective and creatively inspirational properties of the crystal.

Listening to the CD as general background music, the tracks blend and merge with each other. I didn't find an apparent difference between them until I paid more attention to the brief notes on the inner sleeve. This continuity is good though for crystal healing and other treatments such as reiki; although at only 44.51 minutes long it is a little too short. The ambience of the CD enables me to link quickly and smoothly with the crystal energies and also, importantly, it is very pleasant to listen to whilst treating clients.
