They say: Native American bamboo and redwood flutes, skin drums, Pan-pipes and rain sticks are the sounds that will evoke the symbolism of love between the Moon (woman) and the Sun (man), joined as one in the dawn sky. As his dawn awakens, her Moon still shines with the stars, blessed by the Spirits of Fortune.

The majesty of an ancient culture has been captured by Llewellyn, adding guitar, piano and string melodies to embody the spirituality and energy that he draws from purple healing-plates at his reclusive home in rural Hertfordshire.

I really enjoyed listening to this CD, I tried it first of all as a background for a meditation, and it worked well for me, it was not invasive to my thought processes at all and took me to some places I was glad to see. To begin, flowing river, always present in the background, at times the drum rhythms drive you on, at times pure flute and pipe calls bring delicate slowness. Then rattle, pipes, birdsong, piano…you’re off again! A great CD for shamanic journeying, the drum beat spurs you onwards, the pipes give you that soaring feeling, the natural sounds ever present in the background are a nice touch. The only bit I was not sure about was track 3 'Sharing of the Sky', it kind of interrupted the flow for me, but perhaps not for others. Overall I found this to be great music for meditation or relaxation, especially if you have a preference towards anything Native American for meditation.
