You Can't Afford the Luxury of a Negative Thought
Review (last 5 for this product, read more)

By Julie Norman View ProfileThis book has a lovely, chatty, even bubbly feel to it. It is full of positivity and zest for life, despite the fact that it covers some matters usually considered morbid or depressing. With little comments, sidetracks and examples it is almost as if you are having a chat with the authors, this makes it incredibly readable and accessible. Written in two parts, part 1 deals with the "disease" of negative thinking and the effects that negative thinking can have on the mind, body and soul. Some of this information is well known, some is less widely credited, but all of it is well worth examining as it is truly fascinating and so wonderfully insightful. Many of the ideas are common sense, but the way that they are mapped out and discussed means the difference between sort of knowing and doing. The ideas here are not distant or impractical, there is no one fix, but rather things to try out and experiment with to see what works for you. Some feel very therapeutic as you work through them such as "Don’t worship the God of other people’s opinion" did for me, others are challenging, such as......more
