Your Mind can Heal your Body
Review (last 5 for this product, read more)

By Vernon Marshall View ProfileI met Matthew Manning many years ago when he was a very young healer. He attended a small conference I organised in order to conduct a workshop and asked if others outside the organisation could attend. I agreed and was then overwhelmed by the number of people willing to travel across the country for a few hours with Matthew. After the workshop I understood why there was so much enthusiasm. Matthew Manning is a very skilled healer and a brilliant communicator. Surprisingly, this is the first of his books that I have read. I am now keen to read more.
This book details very clearly but very deeply how one can affect one's own healing processes by one's emotional state. He deals with fear, anger and guilt, amongst other things. The book is not just an analysis, however. There are plenty of practical techniques offered to improve one's physical and mental health. There are meditations, advice on such as nutrition and exercise. There are psychological insights that lead to the blocking of one's natural healing abilities. All round the book is a sensible manual of self-healing. It is detailed enough to have intellectual integrity, but easy to read nonetheless. This is a book that we could all use in our personal search for growth and self-improvement. The resources list at the end is also of value, although I would have liked more of it.
This is a book that I shall go back to several times and I can recommend it to anyone interested in their own improvement.
