Yin Yang lovers pendant (sterling silver)
Yin Yang - Black, white, male/female balance
This symbol originates from ancient Chinese understanding of how life works and maintains stability. The two shapes within the circle represent the interaction and balance between two energies - yin and yang. Yin is black - dark, passive, receptive and feminine - whilst yang is white - bright, creative, active and masculine.
The idea is that, just as in life, not everything is completely black or white. The two energies compliment, and cannot exist, without each other.
Mentions of the yin yang concept can be found in the I Ching and in forms of Chinese medicine. The symbol is very popular today and is used by many as an expression of their beliefs, as well as a mere decorative image.
Peter Stone Company - High quality jewellery manufacturer
Holisticshop.co.uk has been trading with Peter Stone Jewellery for many years now because we consistently find their products to be of a high quality. The Peter Stone Company purchases raw silver and produces their own true .925 sterling silver alloy in their own factory. All rings are cast to size and craftsmen cut and inlay each stone for a perfect fit. Every piece of jewellery created is hand polished not tumble polished. The gems they use are of excellent quality and the prices we have always found to be very competitive.
Peter Koslowski had been working on merchant ships since 1983 while living in Sri Lanka and was fortunate to be exposed to an abundance of precious stones and he began to purchase and trade them, as well as silver. During this period he also studied gemology and jewellery making in a number of countries. This then lead to the founding of the Peter Stone Company in 1992 in Bangkok, Thailand, where he still resides.

By Jackie, East Sussex This is a culturally-free representation of the universal yin-yang symbol, and transcends the divisions of Chinese, Indian or Western interpretations. It is above all a symbol of love and balance, and one of the most beautiful gifts my husband has ever bought me. The craftsmanship is awesome - such delicacy of carving although very strong. We feel it should be a full-sized sculpture, perhaps on Trafalgar Square's Fourth Plinth, as an inspiring reminder of the necessity for balance and integration of the races and the sexes, and of the dance of life in which we all share.

By Kaye, Durham A very nice piece and a very good price that would easily have cost twice as much in the shops.

By Margarita, London Gorgeous pendant and very quick delivery. I'm very pleased with the purchase. Thanks!

By Ellie Bentley, Burton on Trent This well-designed pendant is weighty, feels substantial in your hands and hangs well around your neck. The two different colours work well together. It is visually and tactually very pleasing as it is very highly polished. I love the way the 2 figures intertwine and yet are completely separate. It could work very well for lovers who have to be apart.

By Sharon Hartnett, Derbyshire I purchased two of the Peter Stone pendants, Yin Yang lovers and Goddess holding blue topaz. They are elegant, stunningly beautiful and excellent quality. I really don't feel that the pictures of them on the site do them justice. There is something very special about these designs and I would recommend anyone to order one and feel their beauty for themselves.
