They say: Essential oils, the authors tell us, were humankind's first medicine - they were mentioned in the Bible and in Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics. These oils are very powerful healing agents that detoxify the blood, and they have been effective in the treatment of diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and Multiple Sclerosis. Use this handy A-Z book to find the essential oil combinations that are most beneficial for treating a variety of illnesses and physical problems naturally. Then, enjoy the emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being that you will experience as a result of their use!

By Susan Madderson View ProfileThis is a lovely little book which is easily and quickly read, offering a brief but informative insight into Aromatherapy. The authors acknowledge the sources of information being from books, lectures and experience in the disclaimer as this was a document gathered for personal use. However, it is not clear where specific information for treatments listed came from even though asterisked oils listed under conditions are acknowledged as being from proven clinic use. The book lists the benefits of using oils, not in all encompassing terms such as 'promotes wellbeing', but via a biological approach of its effects and also explores the concept of electrical frequency in relation to essential oils. Other applications, such as Raindrop therapy, are mentioned which offers more variety in practical use for the reader. It lists alphabetically situations/illnesses and suggests suitable oils and application methods. Situations such as reducing paint odour are listed and also advice such as how to remove ticks prior to application of oils. This is a handy, brightly illustrated book which can be used for quick reference in addition to giving a more biological approach to oils.
