POWER THOUGHT CARDS - Louise L. Hay

This is a really beautiful set of affirmation cards, which can be used whenever needed to help you raise your spirits, or whenever you need to to begin to think positively about life. They can be shuffled, or just dipped into, and the card that is chosen can be used as a basis for formal daily meditation, or just as a 'little something' to see us through the day. They could be pinned to the fridge door, or propped up on the desk. They are bright, very sturdy cards, and will take quite a lot of use. They are designed to last for years and years.

One side of each card says what it aims to deal with. The other side has a few sentences that we can look at during the day (or night) to remind ourselves how to keep positive, in tricky situations. They work very well. These are affirmation cards and so there are no negatives. It is quite possible to look at them casually and dismiss them, because you might think of them as bland or repetitive, but in fact if they are used as described above they can offer a surprising amount of insight and comfort. Louise L Hay suggests that reading them helps life to 'unfold' more easily, and that is certainly true of any positive thinking technique. These cards are also beautifully designed, and can be adapted so that they give many years of pleasure and emotional support. The pack is not much bigger than a regular pack of cards, and so is easily transportable. A pack would make a beautiful present for someone that you care about, because you would probably not want to part with your own personal pack, once you have them.
