They say: Strengthen yourself - strengthen your relationship. When the initial romance fades, questions begin. Left unanswered, blame and judgement creep in, threatening to undermine the depth of your relationship, if not the relationship itself. The Mirror Cards provide answers. They take the blame out of relationship problems, by showing you how your partner is merely reflecting back to you the issues that you need to face. No matter how perceptive you believe yourself to be, the card texts will surprise you with their profound psychological insight and support.

Pick just one card, consult the book, and discover what aspects of your behaviour are obstructing the flow of love and what you can do to change them. The choice is yours...

The Mirror Cards are specially designed to be a means of divination for relationship issues. The underlying principle is the idea of mirroring, or "that the world reflects back to you what you most need to learn." The theory is that, when you're having relationship glitches, using the cards will show you what you really need to know and the issues that you need to face. The 32 cards cover key issues such as acceptance, communication, boundaries, self-worth, reality, trust and honesty and there's a detailed book explaining exactly how to use them and understand what each card means. The cards themselves are wonderfully vibrant, oozing colour and energy, with each picture or pattern depicted in a circle on one side of the card. In fact, the way they're presented reminds me a lot of mini mandalas and they grab attention in a similar way. The accompanying book is nicely produced and really does give a lot of detail about each card. I particularly like the additional quotes included with each issue. For example, the quote for freedom says, "Freedom is the uncovering of what has always been there. Stephen Levine." There's also a good guidance section on how to pick cards and useful answers to common questions. Overall, the set is interesting to use and the book certainly provides the back-up support for dealing with each issue that you're likely to need when tackling relationship difficulties. For me, the cards themselves are the best bit, with their strength lying in the colourful, exuberant and memorable way they've been designed.
