This is a deck that feels bright and clear throughout. The cards are full of precise and colourful paintings. The minor Arcana cards have less detail than the major Arcana cards but are still all individually illustrated. Pentacles are called nuggets, wands are called rods, swords called lightening, and cups are now blossoms. There are many fresh ideas such as the crane (the bird of the human soul in Japanese tradition) making appearances throughout the deck, taking on different postures and sizes, giving further insights into the cards.

The brief descriptions of the cards in the booklet are always referring back to love and relationships and the cards are often have illustrations with two people in them. For example the "Fool" card is now called the "Fools" and has a picture of both a man and a woman instead of just the man by himself. So this deck is ideally suited to one person or a couple who wishes to explore their relationship.

Can it be used for more general use? I think so. Once you get away from what the booklet is telling you and start to develop your own understanding I think this deck will give much joy. One observation I would make is that there is very little blackness and negativity in this deck. Some would say that it needs some of this to balance it out, while others may welcome it, as they want to use a Tarot deck to give them a positive boost, to help propel them forwards in life.
