By Kathleen, Wrexham Doreen Virtue starts the first of her six CD set by introducing us to our guardian angels, angels and archangels and explains how they can be called upon to work with us in ways that will enrich our lives. As a psychotherapist with a Phd in psychology, she has witnessed many different types of therapy and finds angel therapy to be beneficial for clients with long-standing emotional blocks. I focused mainly on this therapeutic connection, working on some of my own blocks.
There are seven simple visualisations to strengthen our energy channels which I found worked very well; in fact when my partner came home, after my 'angel day', he immediately commented on the positive energy in the room. She includes advice on diet, chemicals and purifying our motivations to enhance our connection to the angels. Doreen describes what clairvoyance, clairsentience, clairaudience and claircognizance are and suggests psychic exercises to strengthen the connection. There are instructions on how to do angel readings and automatic writing and discussion on how to recognise false guidance, reasons for inaccuracies and what can hinder our communication with the angels. Interwoven throughout the subjects discussed are specific prayers to God and the angels and also affirmations. I'm not keen on the meditation at the end of the CD having tried it several times. Although like being read a story and rather ungrounded, it does start quite nicely by connecting with your guardian angel. This connection then feels interrupted when Doreen starts channelling words from the angels, which felt misplaced and intrusive.
Overall, I found that listening to Doreen’s words seemed to facilitate a better healing connection with the angels than I have experienced prior to listening to the CDs when using the same or similar techniques that she mentions here. I enjoyed......more
