The Indigo Children
Review (last 5 for this product, read more)

By Rainbow mum View ProfileIt's been a long time since I have revisited this book, as my dog-eared copy seems to be out on almost permanent loan. It bills itself as a must have book for parents of unusually bright and active children. I'd have to add that it could well become a must have book for those whose children have been labelled ADHD or ADD.
The authors believe that many children and young adults who have been classed as ADHD/ADD have been mislabelled and are instead indigo children. The mislabelling has come about as the medical and educational professionals have never come across the like of such children before. The authors and the various contributors to the book (of which there are many) maintain that what these children are exhibiting are a wide range of highly psychically evolved abilities and a refusal to conform to the society that they have come to change. These are the 'system busters' who are paving the way for the gentler 'crystal children'.
As well as explaining who and what an Indigo Child is, it also contains a wealth of information, such as, how what you can do to help the children, on a daily basis and how to help them to accept & develop their spiritual and psychic abilities, how to keep them healthy (their diets need careful regulation) and how to keep them away from the traditional medical route of ritalin. There are two very fulsome accounts by indigo adults. One of the things that surprised me on my original read through of the book is the profile of the numerous contributors to the book. There are many from the mainstream science and medical professions.
I think that this is a wonderfully well set out and researched book. As a parent (to non-indigos)......more

By Jamie Dear Readers,
As an indigo youth myself (22 when I read it in 2001) it was amazing just to read a book that recognised what I've known about since my childhood. It was a long wait but well worth it. I found the Tober's book after I told some spiritual guy about my visions and knowledge regarding what I called the "blue" children. I gave many characteristics such as being misdagnosed "ADHD" and being psychic. He said "You're one of them indigo babes" and gave me the book.
This was in 2001 when I was 22. What a confirmation Lee and Carol Tober confirmed all my theories, research and intuitions, in a well written book that is accessible to everyone of all ages, parent or child. This was definitely what I was waiting for, and this book will remain a classic no doubt. Before I go, one more strange coincidence. In 2001 I was having a vision, doodling, I drew a 'grid' connected to the earth with an ET on it, and kept writing and seeing a dark blue 'crayon.' When I finished the book, I was surprised to hear that the Tober's had originally found out about the indigo children through a race of beings they had channelled. Where from? Kryon. I have since met others who have received info about 'Kryon', 'Cryon' or - as I called it -'Crayon.' Many blessings of love & light,

By Lilian, Kilmarnock Fantastic book! A must read for anyone dealing with children. From a metaphysical and simply a child care point of view, it is enlightening and a true revelation. If more parents worked with their children in this way it would be a great improvement to the world.
