Dimensions: Approx 10.5 cm tallAmogashiddhi is one of the five Dhyani Buddhas recognised by the Mahayana schools of Buddhism. Unlike Gautama Buddha, he was not a historical figure, but rather a transcendent being. Amogashiddhi is regarded as being the fifth Dhyani Buddha (the others are Amitabha Buddha, Akshobhya, Ratna Sambhav Buddha and Vairochana Buddha) and he represents the cosmic element of Samskara. The symbol associated with him, and with which he's usually depicted, is the viswa vajra or double thunderbolt and his significant colour is green. In pictures and icons, he's usually pictured sitting in the full lotus position, with his left leg over his right and his left hand open with the palm facing upwards. His right hand is usually pointing upwards in a gesture of fearlessness and a blessing of confidence. Together with the other five Dhanni buddhas, he symbolises the universal divine forces. He's also sometimes known as the Buddha of the North and his consort is Green Tara.
