Way of Chakras
Chakras - 7 energetic centres of human body
The chakras are major energetic centres within the human body. There are seven in total. They are:
Crown (violet-white)
Forehead (indigo)
Throat (Blue)
Heart (Green)
Solar plexus (Yellow)
Sacral (Orange)
Base (Red)
When our chakras are healthy and glowing strongly we feel good. By having about us or using chakra products, wearing chakra jewellery or using chakra stones in healing we are giving focus to this state of balance. If we have good intention we may draw situations to us that help us to change and help our chakras to find or remain in balance.
For further information about the chakras you could try reading our Beginner's guide to Chakras

By Davey Winder View ProfileThe popularising of Yoga in recent years, coupled with the fashionable status of Eastern religion thanks to a celebrity fascination with Buddhism, more and more people have heard of chakras. Unfortunately, less and less know what they are actually are and how both understanding and working with them can unlock your spiritual growth and physical well-being. What is needed is a straightforward and accessible book that can both educate and enlighten the reader, being as inspiring, as it is practical. For me, that book is Way of Chakras. 'They are your very essence. They are wheels of vibrating light that bring inner wisdom and knowledge' - as you can see, Caroline Shola Arewa has a gift for explaining complex spiritual concepts easily and without ever patronising the reader. She is just as much a teacher as she is a guide, and by the end of the book I dare you not to understand exactly what and where your chakras are and how you can work with them to move further down the road of personal and spiritual empowerment. Having studied Vajrayana, the Tibetan Tantric Buddhism path, even I could not help but be drawn in by her magical prose. But this is not really a book for those already well travelled along the spiritual path, it is for those who lack direction and need the help of a learned guide. Logical in approach, rich in diagrammatic illustration and a joy to read, this is the ideal book for those moments of calm in your life. Read it; understand it and put its teachings into practise and you'll soon have many more of them to enjoy.
