They say: Are you a Proud Spirit?

Known to millions as the 'Voice of the Spirit World' - through her first book, The Eagle and the Rose - Rosemary Altea is a British spiritual medium and healer. An international bestselling author, she draws clients from around the globe through her amazing ability to talk to the dead. In this extraordinary book, she explores opportunities for spiritual growth in our everyday experiences. Using stories from her work and also from her personal life, she answers such questions as:

Will our human personalities survive death intact?
Are people in the spirit world affected by the actions of their loved ones on earth?

But this remarkable tour de force goes well beyond the subject of life after death, presenting awe-inspiring tales that shine a light on human conduct, such as the spine-tingling visit of children from the spirit world - or the story of an abused young boy who is kept safe by his guardian angel. Hopeful, uplifting, strengthening, Rosemary Altea challenges us to know, value and be gentle with ourselves - to be proud spirits.

By Rachel Newcombe View Profile
In Proud Spirit the author, Rosemary Altea, shares her experiences of healing and mediumship and looks at ways that we can all grow spiritually in our everyday lives. It's very much written from a "personal experience" point of view, although it also draws on the experiences of other individuals and groups she's helped, and she uses a chatty style throughout. Part 1 covers a topic that interests many people - what happens when we die - and subsequent parts look at provocative issues such as rape, falling out with people, healing and children. Rosemary is clearly indebted to her spirit guide, Grey Eagle, for the lessons and insights she's gained along her journey. To help others and share the insights, one part of the book is devoted to questions answered by Grey Eagle.

The one downside is that the Casebook Revisited section highlights case studies that were previously discussed in her other book, The Eagle and The Rose. If you've read that, then finding yourself reading the same material could be disappointing. If you like books that are brimming with case studies, recollections and personal experiences relating to spiritual matters and healing, then you're likely to enjoy this!
