The Chakra Bible by Patricia Mercier
Chakras (47) - 7 energetic centres of human body
The chakras are major energetic centres within the human body. There are seven in total. They are:
Crown (violet-white)
Forehead (indigo)
Throat (Blue)
Heart (Green)
Solar plexus (Yellow)
Sacral (Orange)
Base (Red)
When our chakras are healthy and glowing strongly we feel good. By having about us or using chakra products, wearing chakra jewellery or using chakra stones in healing we are giving focus to this state of balance. If we have good intention we may draw situations to us that help us to change and help our chakras to find or remain in balance.
For further information about the chakras you could try reading our Beginner's guide to Chakras

By Rachel Newcombe View ProfileThis book may be small in size, but its 400 pages are absolutely packed to the brim with all you ever need know about chakras.
Dubbbed, “The Definitive Guide to Working With Chakras,” the book covers the topic in detail and is suitable for both those new to learning about chakras and those who are already familiar with them. The first chapter kicks off with the basics, exploring what chakras are, why they’re important, how they affect us and how they relate to various forms of healing. It’s by no means a brief introduction and instead provides a valuable insight into the world of chakras.
Chapter two to eight are dedicated to exploring each of the chakras in detail. As well as being packed with information, there are also lots of practical ideas, exercises and tips incorporated into the text, so you’ve got things to try out if you wish. For example, there are ideas for crystals you can use to re-balance or activate your chakras, or yoga positions to try and ease any chakras imbalances.
Although most people are only familiar with seven chakras, there are now believed to be more, and the book reveals what these are, where they’re located and what they do. There’s also an interesting chapter looks at how the chakras are viewed by other beliefs and traditions and a practical chapter dealing with healing with chakras, which great if you want to put new found ideas into practice.
The Chakra Bible really does live up to its name. If you’re only buying one book on chakras, then you’ll get a wealth of information if you buy this one.
